Standing proudly atop of village Paidochori, gazing the magnificent views to the rolling hill, green valleys and sea of Georgioupolis, this unique villa is perfect for those seeking relaxation and quality.
The original house belonged to the grandfather of the owner, so it has been lovingly restored by the grandson and his young family. The enthusiastic grandchildren, Sifis and Sofia, have managed to retain some of the precious, original features of the house and topped it up with beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living area. The heated pool with its waterfall, the sun terrace with comfy outdoor furniture, the BBQ and outdoor dining, can only promise a wonderful holiday for families or friends.
The village of Paidochori is part of the municipality of Apokoronas. It is located in the hinterland of Crete, near the borders of Chania and Rethymnon. The houses are built amphitheatrically on the slope of the White Mountains at an altitude of 270 meters above sea level. Today, there are approximately 100 permanent residents. From Paidochori, you can enjoy the view of Madares, i.e. the White Mountains, which is absolutely magnificent just like the natural environment around the area. The wild scenery captivates all visitors who climb up there and want to have a glimpse and a taste of the authentic Crete. A building dating from the Venetian period, and two Byzantine churches (dedicated to Virgin Mary and to St Catherine), also built during the Venetian period, indicate that the area was inhabited since then.
In the nearby villages at less than 2 km away, there are many traditional taverns serving genuine traditional Cretan dishes made with excellent local products. Local people, who can appreciate what Cretan cuisine has to offer, often choose the taverns in Agioi Pantes (just 1.5 km away), Tzitzifes (4 km away) and Melidoni (4 km away) for their excellent food. Of course, a little farther away you will find many more seaside taverns and restaurants as well as excellent beaches in Kalyves , Georgioupolis , Almyrida.
