So we encouraged them to write to the press in their home countries on their return and we are sure

many of them have done so. We attach a copy of some letters that appeared in The Independent newspaper

last Saturday(30 June). We hope they will help to encourage more tourists to stay in Crete this summer.

The house was just perfect for our two families and Kostas took very good care of us.

Just a note to say what a fantastic holiday we had at the Villa Dimitris in Kalives and how sorry we were

to leave on Monday. The villa was exactly as you described on your web site, beautifully kept

and in an even more stunning location than we anticipated.

Thank you and your team for the smoothness and efficiency of the arrangements including the car hire

and for organising for the additional linen etc for our friends when they arrived and also for Sandra's tips

on where to go and what to see. It would also be appreciated if you could pass on our thanks to the owner

for the service they provided and to express how very impressed we were with their villa.

As for Kalives, a lovely working village and a perfect location for a quiet and relaxed holiday and indeed

so perfect was our experience that I strongly believe that Crete could well be our holiday destination next year

only for longer! Expect my call!

I would certainly recommend to anbody looking for a relaxed holiday in Crete to make Authentic Crete their first point of enquiry.

Hi Ariadne!

We had a lovely vacation in Greece, particularly on Crete!

The villa was clean, modern and very well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed

the generously sized bathrooms.

  We were pleased with everything. Angelica was very helpful, delivering the gas grill and the cot and giving us

restaurant suggestions (The Sunset restaurant down the road was terrific!)

We really appreciated your concierge suggestions for local sights and beaches. And most of all we appreciated

your trip to Rethymnon to deliver the ferry ticket - thank you very much!

Although we enjoyed Santorini (who would not love the views?!) and thought that Athens was very impressive,

we are most fond of Crete and hope to return someday!

Kalimera Ariadne and Sandra,

I know it's been nearly two weeks since we left the beautiful island of Crete and things have been very hectic since we got home,

but at last I have a couple of spare minutes.

I wanted to email you to thank you for one of the most relaxing holidays I have had for a VERY long time. We were looking over

some of the photo's today and it's so clear from all our smiles that we had the most wonderful time. As you know we were

very blessed with the weather, I don't think it could have been any better, but aside from that the location and especially the accomodation

were just perfect.

I work for an American Law firm and we have a 'Raving Fan' scheme where when someone goes above and beyond

what is expected of them you essentially rave about them and tell everyone you know. Well, Soula's name has been

just about shouted from the rooftops - what an amazing person. She looked after us so well and just added special touches,

like posing the boys teddy bears differently each day, absolutely made their day! So please pass on our thanks again.

We really look forward to coming back to Crete again very soon!

Dear Ariadne and Sandra,

It was a dream of mine to celebrate our Golden Wedding with our family in Kalives. The Kalives Apartments were

absolutely superb, the family pronounced them perfect. Authentic Crete are extremely efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Thanks to you both for helping to make my dream come true.At all times you kept in touch by email and as I was organising

a party of ten plus two cousins I was sometimes a little anxious but I need not have worried everything went according to plan.
Unfortunately I developed Tendonitis and Sandra introduced me to a local very good physic who was a great help.

We decided not to hire cars as the family were able to walk to the tavernas. I was finding this difficult but George taxis

took me around making everything possible, again introduced by you.So once again thank you, we will be recommending you

to all our friends

We have arrived home in Glasgow having had a wonderful holiday in Crete. Thank you so much for all your help

It was truly a lovely part of the island in which to be based. We thoroughly enjoyed all the places we visited, especially Loutro and Chania,

Well, back home all safe and sound and back at work! We wish we were still in Crete!

We had an absolutely lovely holiday. We would like to thank you for your help in arranging everything -

you have been amazing and very patient given all the 'back and forth' .

With everything possible nowadays via the internet the service of what was a traditional travel agent is becoming defunct.

However, having someone like you to bring the value you do is extremely beneficial - so I'm sure you are very successful.

Keep doing what you are doing! Sandra was super too. She gave us alot of information/tips. We appreciated our time with her.

Having 2 cars worked out better for us and it turned out we wanted to split and go our separate ways some days -

so this worked out perfectly. The car hire guy was very efficient - came when said he would - very pleasant.

The cars were all great. The Peugeot was fun - really liked this - would recommend it.

The apartment in Oia was splendid. Great location - not too far in that transportation with luggage was problematic.

Just a great spot near the bus terminal etc. Very basic - but very Greek and a nice opposite to the villa.

Always good to have a kitchenette. Panus was just super. What a lovely man and such a wonderful daughter.

We had a very long, tiring journey from Amsterdam. I am a world traveller for biz and also personal.

I've been all over the world and am usually on a plane every week going somewhere in the world for work but Shawn

has not travelled that much so he found our delays/dodgy connections and lost luggage very, very stressful - but when we arrived

at our apartment in Santorini Panus took all the stress away. He is a really genuine person with a big heart and great at what he does.

We would stay there again if we re-visited Santorini and would highly recommend it.

I went to Santorini some 10 years ago - Fira but didn't like it too much (not very Greek and many tourists).

However, i wanted Shawn to see it. Oia is so much nicer and we had a fabulous time. We could have easily

stayed there an extra night or two to visit the Volcano /Springs and hire a boat. It was rather busy though with tourist buses!

So, better time to go would be earlier in the year or later. We went to a great family taverna served gyros...which was the best food we had there.

As for Crete, well, we loved it. My family found the drive a bit long from Heraklion but again they are not used to traveling.

It was fine for Shawn and I. Chania is easier but not possible from where they live.

We would have loved more time in Crete. We did as much as we could given we had the family there

and they just wanted to rest / be by the pool / go to local beaches whereas Shawn and i wanted to explore. But it all worked out well.

Dear Ariadne,

Just a quick note to say thank you for a wonderful holiday in Crete, only problem was that it wasn't long enough.

The accommodation was excellent, probably the best we have had in Greece. Villa was lovely and

in a wonderful setting away from all the hustle. Many thanks to you all, the directions to get to the villa were excellent

and the help and advice from Sandra was good. The car hire went really well and we had no problems with either vehicle.

I hope that we will return at some point to Crete in the near future and we would certainly use your company again.

Do you only cover Crete with providing holiday accommodation, or are you involved with any of the other smaller islands in Greece?

Dear Ariadne,

Thank-you for your warm welcome to villa Ammos. We had such a lovely holiday,

the Villa is truely magnificent, beautifully designed in such a stunning location.

We really could not have wanted for anything more.

We had a meal brought to us one evening from the local restaurant as you recommended

and dinned on the terrace enjoying a candle- lit evening with all the family it could not have been more perfect.

The ladies that came in in the morning were so sweet too, would not have known they were there

apart from how beautifully clean and tidy it suddenly was.
