Payment.
- Once your availability has been confirmed please check all the details on your requested accommodation/service and dates before proceeding. We will hold your accommodation/service for you for 48 hours and send you our form to complete details. Once deposit has been paid, we will send you your first confirmation.
- To send you the confirmation of your reservation, we will require a deposit of 20% for hotel or apartment reservations, and 30% for villa reservations. Deposit is non-refundable.

The balance is due 6 to 4 weeks prior to arrival date. For some accommodation this may vary and balance can be paid during stay.We will confirm the options of balance payment at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if the balance is not paid by the due date.

On payment of the balance we will send you the final confirmation,itinerary and directions to your accommodation.

Payments can be made by credit card or bank wire transfer to our bank account.

We do not charge our customers a security/damage deposit, however in the event of any damage caused we do reserve the right to invoice you and charge accordingly, upon the hotelier's/owner's notification.

Cancellation of booking

Cancellations must be sent in writting to us (email , fax or post).

The cancellation charges are as follows:

Up to 8 weeks before arrival: 30% of rental is charged (villa bookings)
Or : 20% of rental is charged (apartment bookings)
From 55 to 32 days before arrival: 50%of rental
From 31 to 0days before arrival: 100% of rental
We will always try to treat cancellations in the best possible way and in goodwill.
Changes to your booking

If for any reason you need to make changes to your booking once the booking is confirmed, we will endeavor to assist you, but cannot guarantee that your request will be met. *There may be a small administration fee to cover this.

Obviously we want to avoid making any changes to your booking once it has been confirmed but occasionally this may be the case. If this is so, we will either offer you alternative accommodation or offer you a full refund.

Accommodation
- For safety and comfort reasons only the persons named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the booked accommodation. This must not exceed the maximum capacity allowed.
- Any breakages or damage to the property must be paid for prior to your departure.

Villas are reserved from 14.00 on the day of arrival until 12.00 on the day of departure.

It is your responsibility to take good care of the property and to make sure that you are not causing a nuisance to others.

Authentic Crete cannot be held responsible for building works that may occur near to your holiday property, although we are always checking our properties and we will notify you as early as possible of any such activities.

We also cannot be held responsible for the weather and unforeseen circumstances including, the threat of war, earthquake, fire, riots, strikes and any other events outside our control.

Insurance
It is advised that you take out travel insurance when booking your holiday and in case of medical treatment needed an E111 (obtained from your post office) should also be applied for.
Complaints
If for any reason you have any complaints during your holiday, please notify us straight away so as to rectify the problem.
We will do everything within our power to rectify any querries locally.

Information Collection
Authentic Crete is the sole owner of the information collected on www.authentic-crete.gr that collects information from our users at several different points on our web site.
Reservation
We request information from the user on our reservation form. A user must provide contact information (such as name, email, and address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's reservations. If we have trouble processing a reservation, the information is used to contact the user.
Information Use
Authentic Crete is going to use the information collected from www.authentic-crete.gr for statistical purposes about web usage. We collect this information to improve the user experience and our services.
Profile
We store information that we collect through cookies, log files to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is tied to the users’ personally identifiable information to provide offers and improve the content of the site for the user. This profile is used to tailor a user's visit to our website, and to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. We do not share your profile with other third parties.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. We use a tracking utility called Live Stats that uses log files to analyze user movement
Communications from the Site
Special Offers and Updates
We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users wishes.
Sharing Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Third Party Intermediaries
We use a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Business Transitions
In the event Authentic Crete goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Security

All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Credit Check
For example, to determine if users qualify for one of our credit cards, we use their name and social security number to request a credit report. Once we determine a user's credit-worthiness, this document is destroyed.
Enhancement of Marketing Profile
We purchase third party marketing data and add it to our existing user database to better target our advertising and provide pertinent offers we think our users would be interested in. We use this information to enhance or overlay the 'profile' of individual users. This aggregate marketing data is therefore tied to the users' personally identifiable information.
Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information
